I bought this Skype cell phone so I can talk internationally for free. This is a great investment, although I had to spend a lot of money in the first place, it pays itself in the end. I also bought Belkin desktop phones for my dad, aunts, sisters who happen to live on the other side of the map. This phone works well, it gets cut off or need to be rebooted if we have problem with Verizon Internet. My mom used to buy phone cards that can cost up to $ 200 a month. I don't understand with the incremental price, I got it on sale for $100 before.
second one that i have i use it all the time for local and international calles, and in some cases it even sounds way better than when you are calling a land line or a cel phone.100% recomendedJust i dont understand how 1 year ago i but the phone for 125.00 dallars and two months ago i bought the same exact phone for 350 dallars.terrible. if it wan not beacuse i really need it i would not have spent that money, 125.00 that ok 350 i thinks it to much.
I like the configurable options available on the phone settings. I've had this one for almost two years and it has proven itself to be very useful and convenient. The best thing is that I don't need to have any of my computers on to use the Skype software, as long as I have my router powered on and connected, I'm able to use the phone. I did set the phone with a static IP to avoid any stability or conflect problems. Over all a good phone along with good service, affordable service from Skype.
Pretty basic. I decided in January to take the plunge: drop the landline and go Skype (and cellphone). Not even a redial button.- As others have mentioned, it resets sometimes, or you have to go reset the phone by unplugging it from the router.- Touch tones don't always work on automated menus, or for entering in the extensions of employees.- Call waiting is horrible. It's worked out pretty well since then with this phone. I did want a phone that could be used without the computer on, and the reviews I've read for the wireless phones makes it sound like those aren't yet ready for prime time.The phone has worked fine for the most part.Pros:- Good sound quality- Reliability- Made the transition pretty seamless from landline to skypeCons:- The phone features and design remind me of phones we were using 20 years ago. I'd prefer to disable it, but the phone won't let you do that. If you don't answer the other call it beeps at you constantly.
It is fine if you want to make aa phone call once in a while, but you can't use it on daily basis. I've tried it with different routers and even different hi-speed internet providers. Netgear Dual Mode Cordless Phone with Skype(SPH200D)I bought this phone a little over a year ago. You have to unplug the power and reset it. And for this price. It simply freezes and you don't even know that. It is just so annoying.
Sometmes it would unfreeze itself and suddnely you are getting 20 voicemails and 30 missed calls. It never worked good. It is always the same. It shows "online" but in fact noone can reach you. Than of course you need to adjust time zone again and other regional settings. It is more a toy than real phone. Forget it.
